George Young is a man who left his mark on life, bringing no benefit to the people around him, except for the one with which he was able to illegally earn a huge fortune.
The way to make a fortune was to sell cocaine. George was one of the members of the Colombian mafia, which in the eighties covered the territories of Bolivia, Peru, Honduras, the United States, Canada and Europe. The so-called drug cartel was founded by the Ochoa Vazquez brothers Jorge Luis, Juan David and Fabio, led by Pablo Escobar. George Young was also personally acquainted with the latter.
Young years
George Jacob Young was born on August 6, 1942. The boy was born in Boston, Massachusetts. After a short time, George's family moved to the city of Weymouth. Here, Young's father had his own business. The boy began to attend school there. He did not show much interest in studies, but he had good inclinations for football and was even considered a leader among his classmates.
Young graduated from high school in 1961. After that, he enters the university, but his student years were short-lived, and George never receivedbachelor's degree in advertising. The reason for this was the use of marijuana. In order to somehow make ends meet, Young began to sell a small part of the potion. He liked this means of making money, he realized that such a process is more enjoyable than drug use. In a word, the smell of money began to attract more than the smell of marijuana.
The beginning of the path of the future drug lord
After a while, George and his friend Tuno leave Weymouth and head to California. Left without income, Tuno offered to earn money by selling marijuana. The two friends began to profit from sales by smuggling hashish from California to New England.
After getting to know and establishing a relationship with the supplier, Tuno and George agree on the possible delivery of drugs by air, through a flight attendant. However, such portions of the supply - two suitcases of hashish per week, seemed insignificant to Young. And he decides to hijack aircraft along with the pilots, for more profit. At that moment, George Young, together with his businessmen, reach a profit of $ 250,000 for everyone. And all this in just one month.
However, easy money did not bring a calm and sweet life. In 1974, in Chicago, Young was taken into custody, as the police detained him with three hundred kilograms of marijuana. As a result, Young ended up behind bars at Denbury Federal Prison (Connecticut).
Prison
While imprisoned, Young meets CarlosLeider Rivas, who introduced George to the Medellin cartel, and later became his accomplice in the development of the criminal business. The essence of the profit was to control the supply of cocaine from the ranch of Pablo Escobar from Colombia. At that time, the drug dealer made huge money through his entrepreneurial skills.
However, the tandem of accomplices did not last long. In the late seventies, Leider terminated the partnership and broke up with Young. George could not stop and continued his criminal activities on his own, which made an even greater fortune.
And again in 1987, Young is arrested on the beach of his own mansion.
Freedom is only a dream
After his release, George meets with his former accomplice in "business" and continues to cooperate with him. But it turns out to be short-lived. The state of Kansas became the latest point of action for the state's criminal profit, as in 1994, with 796 kilograms of cocaine, Young was again taken into custody and sentenced to 60 years in prison.
Thanks to confessing to three counts and testifying against his partner Leider, the sentence was commuted. Punishment George Young, a drug lord, was serving in Fort Dix. The drug dealer left the prison at the age of 72 before the due date - June 3, 2014.
Family Relations
As a result of the easy money of the state, Young did not receive family warmth and participation in the upbringing of his only daughter. His wife filed for divorce when Georgewas in prison. Thus, the daughter of George Young found herself under the care of her mother. Today, the former drug lord is trying to restore his father's relationship.
Last opportunity to embark on the righteous path
George Young - whose biography does not show him as a chaste person, has finally rethought his life. After all, the criminal way of making money is not wisdom, but rather makes you live in a state of constant fear and the possibility of being behind bars.
The film "Cocaine" with the participation of Johnny Depp, based on the real life of Young, does not ex alt him as an outstanding person, does not glorify, but only leaves an edifying thought to those who are trying to acquire capital illegally.
Today, George Jacob Young is in a special institution for social rehabilitation, where it is possible to continue life, but from scratch.
