Crimea was part of Ukraine for exactly 60 years (from 1954 to 2014). However, people are always drawn to their native roots. Despite the close connection and fraternal spirit of the two nationalities, when the time came to choose, the Crimeans decided to rejoin Russia. In March 2014, a referendum was held. This is how the Federal Republic of Crimea appeared.
History of Crimea
Throughout its history, Crimea has seen many peoples, cultures and customs. Once there were Greeks, Romans, Scythians and other peoples. Until 2014, the most notorious event and change in the history of Crimea was its transfer in 1954 by Nikita Sergeevich Khrushchev (head of the USSR) to Ukraine. So, the territory of the once former Tavria began to belong to this republic. The transfer of the peninsula was explained by the fact that it is tied to Ukraine with many resources. The gift was considered "for the benefit" of the further development of the Crimea. The grand gesture of Nikita Sergeevich was made for the holiday of the reunification of the fraternal peoples of Russia and Ukraine. This is how the life of the Crimeans has changed. Despite the presence of the Ukrainian language in many areas (educational institutions, television, documentation, etc.), the inhabitants of the peninsula have always spokenin Russian in everyday life. They considered it their first mother tongue. Even the capital of the Republic of Crimea has always been Russian-speaking.
2014 – the year of changes in Crimea
Meeting 2014, many residents of the peninsula did not even imagine that in the next, 2015, they would enter as Russians, and the territory of the Republic of Crimea would belong to the Russian Federation. This was preceded by many events. In Kyiv, the people came to Khreshchatyk, dissatisfied with the Ukrainian government. Far from the former capital, the peninsula, for the most part, watched the events from afar. By the way, at the moment, many large Crimean enterprises have fallen into decay. Take, for example, the Kerch shipbuilding plant "Zaliv", whose former power has sunk into oblivion. The lack of attention to such structures was evident.
Russian Republic of Crimea
In March 2014, the Crimeans went to vote, and, as the election results showed, most of the inhabitants of the peninsula chose the entry of their native land into the Russian Federation. This decision was accompanied by a huge number of changes in the Crimea, as well as a sharp negative reaction from Ukraine. A transitional period has come - a time of changes in all spheres of life. The referendum divided families who did not understand the position of their relatives, who were already in another country, and fraternal peoples. However, the inhabitants of the peninsula began a new life, because everyone is the blacksmith of his own happiness.
Government of the Republic of Crimea
Afterthe all-Crimean referendum, with the advent of the declaration of independence of the Crimea on March 11, 2014, Sergei Valeryevich Aksyonov was appointed Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Crimea. The Council of Ministers of the Republic of Crimea is the executive body of state power. SV Aksyonov reported that most of the ministers retained their posts. Some departments have been renamed. The Council of Ministers of the Republic of Crimea has been restructured.

Election of the head of Crimea
On April 14, by decree of the President of Russia, Sergei Aksyonov was appointed acting head of Crimea. On September 17, his candidacy, along with Alexander Terentiev and Gennady Naraev, was included in the list of applicants for the above-mentioned position. The State Council of the Republic of Crimea elected Sergey Aksyonov as the head of the government of the peninsula unanimously - 75 deputies voted in his favor. In addition to him, there were two other candidates for this position. Each applicant could present his program for the further development of the peninsula. However, the rest of the candidates agreed with the general opinion of the people and deputies that the chairmanCouncil of Ministers should be Aksyonov. Sergei Valeryevich is also a member of the United Russia party.
New contacts of the Crimean government
With the advent of the new government, as expected, contacts have also changed. In 2014, a new official website was created. Before that, news from the leadership of the peninsula could only be read on Facebook. Now residents of Crimea can get acquainted with the information and contact the leaders through the feedback form. The site contains sections devoted to resolutions and orders, as well as other documentation, various projects. Also, Crimeans can get acquainted with photo and video materials regarding the leadership of the peninsula and the government of the Russian Federation. Information about district state administrations can be found in the relevant section.
In the center of the peninsula, Simferopol, a contact center began its work, where people's appeals are recorded regarding various issues of concern to them. The number of incoming calls to the contact center is huge, so there is also a hotline in Crimea, the staff of which is planned to be expanded in the future. The head of state asked the inhabitants of the peninsula to report to the appropriate numbers about all cases of rude behavior or improper performance of their direct duties by civil servants. Aksyonov said he would personally monitor corruption issues and would not allow a transitional period to allow those in leadership positions to take advantage of thissituation.
Changes in various areas of life
Residents of the peninsula said goodbye to the Ukrainian legislation and began to study the new, as well as the development of programs operating in the Russian Federation. These issues affected a huge number of specialists; special training courses were organized for teachers, accountants, and lawyers. Ukrainian banks left the territory, unable to continue their work due to new circumstances. However, they were quickly replaced by Russian structures. New recreation programs were also organized in Crimea.
The new government of the peninsula drew attention to powerful enterprises that are on the verge of collapse. Plans began to be drawn up to rebuild the factories. In December 2014, Sergei Aksyonov personally visited the Kerch shipbuilding plant, promising that the leadership of the Crimea would support the development of the Zaliv with all its might. Also, the Russian government is trying to quickly respond and resolve issues such as the supply of water and electricity to the peninsula. There have been some complications in this area. The Ukrainian government blocked the canal, which was a source of drinking water for the Crimeans, and also did not supply electricity to Crimea for some time.
Simferopol - Crimean center
As before, the city of Simferopol is the capital of the Republic of Crimea. It is also a point of transport communication that connects the cities of Tavria. There is an international airport in Simferopol, a railway line passes through it. Flightbuses can drive up to the railway station. Simferopol, the capital of the Republic of Crimea, is the main point of transportation between different parts of the peninsula. Most tourists pass through this city or arrive at its airport.
It used to be possible to travel from Simferopol by train to the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv, but at the end of 2014 the situation changed. Railway communication with Ukraine was blocked. The capital of the Republic of Crimea can no longer send trains or buses across the border. Also in this city are important government centers. During the transition period, a large number of seminars on Russian legislation are held here, training courses for various specialists.
Kerch Bridge
The crossing in the Kerch port is the only link connecting the peninsula and the Russian coast at the beginning of 2015. After the annexation of Crimea, the load on ferries increased, but their number also increased. In the summer of 2014, this type of connection could not serve the huge flow of cars, which led to the formation of long queues on both sides. Also, in case of a storm and worsening weather conditions, the crossing is closed, because the transportation of passengers or vehicles in such situations is dangerous. A bridge built across the Kerch Strait could solve many communication problems between the shores.
The project has been published more than once. This is the most convenient form of communication imaginable. Crimeans, like residentsmainland Russia, are looking forward to the implementation of this project.
