Olga Khokhlova is known for her numerous roles in modern TV series and feature and short films. Despite the fact that many of them are episodic, her bright appearance, charisma and inimitable style of acting made Khokhlova one of the most recognizable artists of our time.

Childhood

Olga Vladimirovna was born on a winter day on December 25, 1965 in the small Siberian town of Angarsk, which is located in the Irkutsk region.

Her mother, being a music school teacher, from childhood instilled in her daughter a love for music and creativity. And my dad was an engineer. He comes from the Chelyabinsk region, or rather from the village of Khokhly. Hence the unusual sound of the surname with an emphasis on the first syllable: Khokhlova.

Olga Khokhlova attended music school with pleasure, but she dreamed of becoming an actress. Even as a child, the dreamy Olga imagined that when she was walking down the street, she was secretly filmed by a movie camera in order to later release a film about her.

On the road to success

After graduating from school, the girl began to move towards the implementation of herdreams. The first step was to enter the Far Eastern Institute of Arts (at the acting department), which was located in Vladivostok. There, her main mentor was A. Ya. Mamontov, in whose workshop she studied. After receiving a diploma in 1987, Olga Khokhlova was admitted to the Primorsky Regional Academic Theater. Gorky, where her acting career began.

In the theater everything was going quite well. She was often entrusted with the main roles in which she reincarnated as a variety of heroines, each time demonstrating her outstanding talent. So flew several theatrical seasons. And everything seems to be fine, but Olga dreamed of Moscow…

Conquest of Moscow

Moving to Moscow was a conscious decision by Olga and her husband Vyacheslav. A loving husband has always supported his wife in all her creative endeavors. The family moved to the capital at a very difficult time (mid-90s). Due to the difficult economic situation in the country, cinema and theater practically did not release new films and performances. But the purposeful Olga Khokhlova did not give up and, each time going to the next casting, she hoped that she would be lucky.

One day it happened. She was accepted into the theater "At the Nikitsky Gate". And even if not in the first composition, but the first steps towards success were taken. For several years she has been playing on the stages of several Moscow theaters at once: the Stanislavsky, Satyricon, Perovskaya, At the Nikitsky Gates. There were also successful roles, but sometimes not everything worked out as we would like. Learn from yourmistakes, Olga honed her acting skills, gaining valuable experience.

She also managed to work in the field of television journalism for several years. After studying for two years at the Independent Film and Television School, she receives an offer from Anatoly Gureev to work in the Vremechko program, to which she agrees.

Theatrical activities

A little later, Kirill Serebrennikov, who at that time was working on the production of Claudel Models, invites Olga to his performance. The premiere took place at the Center for Drama and Directing. A. Kazantsev and M. Roshchina. Olga Khokhlova did an excellent job with the task. Her work was also appreciated at the highest level, as a result of which Olga Vladimirovna was nominated for the "Seagull" award. Other successful theatrical works of that time - "Flooring", "Zero Three", "Death of Tarelkin", "Transfer", etc.

Filmography of Olga Khokhlova

Cinematography for Khokhlova was the ultimate dream. Of course, I wanted the main roles. But all the episodic roles and supporting roles that Olga Khokhlova performed, the actress carried through herself, giving each, even the most miserable, piece of her soul. She is always different: either eccentric and funny, then angry and frowning, then impetuous and resilient … Most of all, the audience remembered the work in such projects as "Kotovasia" (Jadwiga), "Stop on Demand" (headmistress), "I love you" (the mother of the main character), "Women in the game without rules" (Nyusya), "My fair nanny" (biology teacher)…

They played injured andwitnesses, doctors and saleswomen, dressers and dressmakers… Indeed, there were many roles, but they did not bring much fame. However, Olga continued to hope that the moment would come and she would be recognized on the streets. It happened in 2006. Then the series “Kadetstvo” was released on the screens, the ratings of which were so high that even the supporting actors became very popular with the audience. Olga Vladimirovna played the role of Ksyusha's mother (the girl of one of the main characters) in the series.

"Kadetstvo" lasted for several seasons, in each of which Olga Khokhlova also took part. The biography of this actress proves that perseverance on the way to her goal sooner or later still bears fruit. She finally began to offer the main roles. And each time she appeared in different roles, surprising the audience with the versatility of her talent. She played the main roles in such films as Bolshoi Kulagin (Obolenskaya), The Personal Life of Dr. Selivanova (Svetlana Kukina), Eclipse (Lyubka), Daddy's Daughters (Venya's mother), etc.

Personal life of Olga Khokhlova

Olga Vladimirovna has been happily married to her husband Vyacheslav for more than twenty-five years, whom they met in Vladivostok. In Vladivostok, their family life began. Vyacheslav is a hereditary sailor, but for the sake of his family he signed off ashore, got a job in the technological workshop of one of the city's factories and at the same time entered the history department of the university. Laterhe started his own business.

According to the actress herself, her husband by nature is her direct opposite. Calm, balanced, laconic. He always, even in the most difficult times, tried to provide the family with all the necessary conditions for life. Today Vyacheslav has his own business in Moscow. The couple has two daughters. The eldest Olesya was born when Olga was still studying at the acting department of the Far Eastern Institute of Arts. The youngest daughter Sophia was born 8 years later. For Olga, the second pregnancy came as a surprise, she was just about to go on tour with the theater to Japan and the USA. But she chose a family and a child, because she and her husband always dreamed of two children.

Olesya married an American and now lives in the United States. Sofia is studying to be an economist, but dreams of becoming an actress like her mother.
