The State Emblem of the Republic of Bashkortostan in the version that we see now was adopted quite recently. The flag as a symbol of the state has also undergone many changes. History has left its mark on the changes in the state symbols, coat of arms and flag of the Republic of Belarus.
The influence of history and politics on state symbols
The Republic of Bashkortostan was part of Russia, and therefore the political history of our country is completely connected with Bashkiria. Tsarist Russia after the revolution became known as the RSFSR, then the USSR was formed, and now the Russian Federation. In connection with these political changes, the appearance of the state symbols of Bashkortostan, the coat of arms and the flag has changed.
A bit of history about how the coat of arms of the Republic of Bashkortostan was created
At the beginning of the 17th century, when Bashkiria became part of Russia, the order of the Kazan Palace made the first seal for the Ufa order hut. On the seal was the first coat of arms of the capital of Bashkiria, the city of Ufa. It featured a running marten.
In 1730, 2 projects of the coat of arms of the city of Ufa were approved. The old coat of arms with the running marten remained and appearedthe new one is a running white horse. The coat of arms with it was used on the flag of the Ufa garrison regiment, and the coat of arms with the marten was used in the Ufa office.
When creating the Ufa governorship at the end of the 18th century, many new coats of arms appeared. They were not political. But in 1878 they approved the first coat of arms of the Ufa province. It was based on the old coat of arms with the running marten and looked like a silver shield. At the top was the imperial crown, along the edges - golden oak leaves with St. Andrew's ribbon, in the center - an azure running marten.
The history of the creation of the flag
The old heraldic symbols were abolished after the revolution in 1917. On November 29 of that year, the Bashkir Central Council announced the autonomy of Bashkiria as part of the Russian Federation. Order No. 4547 approved the Bashkir national flag on August 20, 1918. It was three-lane (blue, white, green). Then, since 1924, the flag has a political connotation. He became completely scarlet. In the upper left corner was a red star with a gold border, and above it, a sickle and a hammer were marked in gold.
In 1938, the BASSR flag was changed again: the inscription "RSFSR" was added and "Bashkir ASSR" was written a little smaller.
The BASSR flag was changed again on March 31, 1954. A wide blue-blue stripe appeared along the flagpole. In this form, the flag lasted for a long time. On February 25, 1992, the Supreme Council of the BASSR approved the updated state flag. Then the Bashkir ASSR began to be called in a new way - the RepublicBashkortostan. February 25 is considered the Day of the State Flag of the Republic of Belarus.
The Legislative Chamber of the State Assembly of the Republic of Belarus on May 27, 1999 adopted the Law on State Symbols of the Republic of Belarus. Since then and to this day, only one change has been made to the proportion of the flag. The flag was 1:2, but now it's 2:3 (width to length).
The modern coat of arms of the Republic of Bashkortostan is a symbol of the republic's sovereignty. After the October Revolution, the state emblem of the Bashkir Republic was created simultaneously with the flag. The Bashkir Central Executive Committee in March 1925 approves the coat of arms of the ABSSR. On the emblem was the inscription "ABSSR", below in Russian and in Bashkir it was written "Proletarians of all countries, unite." The emblem's attributes were the hammer and sickle.
In February 1938, changes were again made to the coat of arms of the Republic of Bashkortostan. It was similar to the state emblem of the RSFSR, it was distinguished only by the inscriptions in small letters "Bashkir ASSR" and the translation in the Bashkir language. With minor changes, this coat of arms existed until October 12, 1993. Then the Supreme Council of the Republic of Belarus approved a new state emblem, which exists to this day.
Thus, in connection with historical events in the political life of Russia, the Republic of Bashkortostan was changing. The coat of arms and the flag also underwent changes along with it constantly. Symbolism developed along with the republic.
