Under the scrutiny of scientists recently renewable energy sources. The time has come that made us think about tomorrow and clearly understand that the use of the Earth's minerals cannot be endless.

Renewable Energy Sources (RES)

The fusion reaction of the Sun is the main process for the emergence of alternative energy. According to the calculation of astronomers, the estimated life of this planet is five billion years, which makes it possible to judge a practically infinite supply of solar radiation. Renewable energy sources are not only the incoming flows of the Sun, but also other derivatives - alternative sources: the movement of wind, waves and the water cycle in nature. For a long time, nature adapted to the use of solar radiation and thus reached thermal equilibrium. This received energy does not lead to global warming, since, having launched all the necessary processes on Earth, it returns back into space. Rationalrenewable energy is a top priority

scientists leading scientific developments in this area. Indeed, of all the solar radiation received, only a third part is used to maintain life processes on Earth, 0.02% is consumed by plants for the photosynthesis they need, and the remaining unclaimed part is returned back to outer space.

Types and applications

Renewable energy sources consist of several main components:

  • Sun. In this case, the resulting flux is used directly through solar panels. The conversion of electromagnetic radiation allows you to have electrical or thermal energy at the output.

Wind. With the help of wind turbines or windmills, the kinetic energy of the air mass is converted into a thermal or electrical flow. Where such renewable energy sources are introduced, coal is saved up to 29,000 tons and oil is about 92,000 barrels per year.

  • Geothermal waters. Hot geothermal sources are used as a heat carrier for thermal power plants. GeoTPPs are being built in the region of volcanically active zones, where water rises to the ground surface and has a boiling point at the exit. These underground sources are located at a relatively shallow depth, and access to them is carried out through drilled wells.
  • Water. Constructionpower plants made it possible to use water flow as a source of energy. To use the wave potential, wave power plants are being built, the specific power of which exceeds the power of wind and solar installations.

The National Laboratory of Denmark has prepared a report, which said that by 2050 the world will be able to switch to energy with very low carbon emissions. At the same time, its cost will be much less than the cost of extracting natural resources from the bowels of the Earth.
