The life of the President of Ingushetia Yevkurov begins its countdown in 1963, when another child was born in a large Ingush family in the Prigorodny district of North Ossetia. In total, Yunus-bek Bamatgireevich has six brothers and five sisters. The boy grew up in the village of Angusht, received a general secondary education at a boarding school in Beslan.

From military service to politics

In 2001, an Ingush officer enters the Academy of the General Staff, after which he is sent to the Ural Military District as a deputy intelligence directorate. Far from his native North Caucasus, he served until 2008.

At this time, a real conflict flares up in Ingushetia, which threatens to escalate into a real armed confrontation. The situation is aggravated by the presence of the Islamist underground.

Murat Zyazikov resigns, and the federal center decides to appoint Yunus-bek Yevkurov as President of Ingushetia. Not a member of any clan, he was supposed to become a neutral figure in the leadership of the republic and unite society.
