Regular viewers of Junior Eurovision should remember the bright victory won in this contest in 2006 by Xenia Sitnik from Belarus. The girl's mother, as well as her vocal teacher, was Svetlana Statsenko, at that time the head of a modest children's art studio in the city of Mozyr. Today she is considered one of the most respected children's music teachers of the republic, heads the National Center for Musical Art, and hosts her own TV program.
The start of the journey
Svetlana Adamovna Statsenko was born in the city of Mozyr, in the Gomel region of Belarus, in 1966. From an early age, the girl literally lived with music, loved to sing and dance, so after graduating from school she did not even think about choosing a future profession. She graduated from a pedagogical college in the city of Klintsy, in Russia, after which she returned to Belarus, becoming a student of the music department of the MinskPedagogical Institute.
Having defended her diploma, Svetlana Statsenko set to work, becoming a singing teacher in a regular school. However, she soon realized that forcing children to play music is a thankless job, and began to look for other ways for herself to spread the “reasonable, kind, eternal.”
The fateful decision in the biography of Svetlana Statsenko was the idea of opening her own studio, where she would teach vocal skills to potentially talented children. In 1997, from scratch, she created the YUMES pop singing studio (“Young Variety Masters”), located in the cozy premises of the House of Culture in the city of Mozyr.
Enthusiast went to ordinary schools, posted posters all over the city with her own hand, conducting her first set of children. Later, the parents themselves stormed the thresholds of the Mozyr Palace of Culture so that their children would be accepted to Svetlana Adamovna.
Eurovision
The affairs of the young teacher were going smoothly, her pupils took part in competitions and festivals, brought awards from different countries, delighting their mentor. One of Svetlana Statsenko's students was her daughter, Ksenia Sitnik, who was also infected with the virus of love for art since childhood.
In 2005, Ksenia won the national selection and earned the right to represent Belarus at the international television song contest Junior Eurovision.
A feature of this festival is that the winner is chosen not by a narrow composition, but by representatives of allparticipating countries.
Pupil and daughter of Svetlana Statsenko literally conquered all the audience with her powerful voice, her performance with the song "We are together" became the most memorable number of the competition. Not surprisingly, Ksenia Sitnik won a landslide victory, far ahead of her competitors. It is clear that little Belarus accepted the little girl as a national heroine, she became a regular participant in television programs. In 2006, Ksenia performed one of the roles in the New Year's musical Starry Night.
