Any talented director involved in staging films, adapting projects to his worldview, has the author's vision of each individual story. Director Alexei Rudakov argues that cinema should be similar in structure to a layer cake. The top layer is very sweet, the characters, the twists and turns of the plot, after the tragedy and melodrama, and at the end of the invariable happy ending. Based on this principle, between 1989 and 2016, he created 14 films and TV series.
Creative biography
Alexey Rudakov is a native of Moscow. He was born at the end of October 1955. After leaving school, he immediately entered the VGIK at the directing department, where he learned the basics of the profession under the strict guidance of E. L. Dzigan. After completing his studies, Rudakov tried his hand at screenwriting; in collaboration with Elena Nikolaeva, he wrote the script for one of the most striking paintings of the 90s with the specific name "Sekskazka". A kind of film experiment directed byNikolaeva was positioned as an erotic avant-garde production. The film received devastating criticism, perhaps that is why Alexey Rudakov did not write more scripts for other directors, deciding to devote himself completely exclusively to directing. Before entering big cinema, he perfected his skills by directing commercials and music videos, as a result he is the author-producer of more than 100 such projects.
In the "big" cinema
Aleksey Rudakov made his film debut with the social drama "Life on the Limit", in which he acted as director and scriptwriter. Pure water drama sunk into the heart after viewing, leaving a soul-scratching aftertaste. Among the other most successful directorial works of the director are the crime thriller "Alice and the second-hand book dealer", the erotic comedy "Peculiarities of the Russian bath", the detective thriller "Salamander Skin".
It should be noted that from the very debut of Alexei Rudakov, real stars of Russian cinema have been filmed: L. Gurchenko, D. Pevtsov, O. Drozdova, L. Filatov. The crime comedy "Day of Money" was no exception, in the creation of which E. Stychkin, M. Politseymako, A. Grebenshchikova and other outstanding performers of our time took part.
Recent works
The psychological detective series "Consultant" (2017) is deservedly considered a huge directorial success of Rudakov. According to critics, this project is an order of magnitude superior to all modern domestic film production.
In 2018, some photos leaked to the media, Alexei Rudakov enthusiastically starts work on a new project. It will be a melodrama "USSR", which is created by order of Channel One.
