This man initiated a double terrorist attack in 2011 in Norway. The crimes he committed were unprecedented, so a resident of a northern European country - Andreas Breivik - suddenly became known to the whole world. He is responsible for the deaths of 77 people on the island of Utoya and 8 residents of the capital during the explosion in Oslo. The public absolutely rightly considered that his atrocities were terrible and inhuman. However, the criminal himself convinces everyone that by his actions he wanted to rid the country of the Islamists who flooded Europe. One way or another, but for the radical methods of dealing with migrants, Andreas Breivik received a severe punishment, namely: 21 years of isolation from society. Moreover, it is possible that this period can be changed to life. What prompted the Norwegian to take such a non-standard solution to the problem of resettling Islamists in countries with a culture alien to them? What is the basis of his behavior? Let's take a closer look at this issue.
Biography
Breivik Anders Behring isthe son of a diplomat. His mother worked as a nurse. "Norwegian shooter" was born on February 13, 1979 in the capital of Norway, the city of Oslo.
Andreas Breivik was not lucky enough to be brought up in a full-fledged family for a long time: two years after his birth, his parents divorced. The boy, along with his half-sister and mother, settled in the prestigious district of the capital - Skoyen. Some time later, the mother of the future radical nationalist remarried a military man.
Andreas Breivik attended elementary (Smestad), middle (Ris) and high (Hartvig Nissen) schools. Then the young man remotely graduated from the Norwegian School of Management.
Work activity
After studying, the guy got a job at the call center of the telecommunications company Telia. Further, the young man established his own company, which was specialized in the processing and storage of data. It seemed that the biography of Andreas Breivik is developing in the best way, but in 2008 his offspring becomes bankrupt.
The "Norwegian shooter" himself stated that in his life he had to change more than one job. He claimed to have worked as a manager at ACTA Economical Counselling, was an employee of Telia Norway AS, and was the head of Behring & Kerner Marketing DA, which specialized in telephone services. In addition, the young man worked in a company that installed advertising accounts, and for some time worked as a bank clerk. Some media wrote that AndreasBreivik was even a law enforcement officer, although the "Norwegian shooter" himself denies this, claiming that he learned shooting while serving in the national army.
Political opinions
In his youth, the terrorist promoted ultra-right views, joining the ranks of the Fremskrittspartiet party. He even took part in several municipal elections as a right-wing candidate.
Having reached adulthood, Breivik Anders Behring turned into an ardent nationalist who became an opponent of the peaceful coexistence of representatives of different cultures, confessions, ethnic groups and nationalities. He once wrote in his microblog: “One person with strong convictions is equivalent in strength to thousands of others who are united by common interests. I am a supporter of nationalism.”
"Norwegian shooter" willingly set up accounts on Internet resources of a national and anti-Muslim orientation, convincing everyone that the creation of a multicultural society is a real utopia. He also criticized journalists who were not patriotic towards the Scandinavian peoples and were tolerant of guests from the Islamic world.
Manifesto
He consolidated his national ideas in a document called: "2083: European Declaration of Independence". In it, he reacted extremely negatively to the model of "cultural-Marxist multiculturalism" and expressed his unwillingness to coexist with the Islamists. The Declaration of Independence has been translated into several languages. Breivik's manifesto in Russian is in freeaccess, its provisions have been repeatedly discussed by representatives of the Russian public.
Psychological portrait
Police officers after the attacks hurried to interview neighbors and journalists to provide the most detailed information about the identity of the suspect. It became clear to them that Anders Breivik was a calm, balanced and benevolent person. However, he had few friends, and he preferred not to spread to others about his life. The young man's hobbies included shooting a firearm, sports and dancing.
Also, the young man had no experience in communicating with the opposite sex, finally convinced that women would "knock him off the intended path."
Terror attack on the island
Of course, not everyone can know who Andreas Breivik is. What did this person do? This question can also be asked by people who have never heard of the "Norwegian shooter". In any case, you need to talk about those terrible atrocities that took place through the fault of this person. At first, he made an explosion in the Norwegian capital, and after a while he went to kill people on the island of Utoya. He carefully prepared for the crime, taking out a police uniform in advance and acquiring weapons. Subsequently, the man will explain that he bought a carbine for deer hunting. As cartridges, he chose explosive bullets. At the ferry crossing, Breivik showed a fake ID and introduced himself as an intelligence officer who was allegedly sent to the island in order toconduct a safety briefing in connection with the recent events in Oslo. After the vacationers arrived at a meeting with Breivik, he opened fire on them. Panic seized the people: they hid behind buildings and jumped into the water to stay alive. But the "Norwegian shooter" even aimed at those who tried to swim to the other side. Teenagers were horrified by what was happening: they tried to contact friends and relatives by phone. The offender shot for an hour and a half, after which he surrendered to law enforcement officers. There were a huge number of victims on the island.
This is a cruel and illegal act committed by 32-year-old Norwegian Andreas Breivik. What this villain did should be known to anyone who condemns terrorism.
Terror attack in the capital
Now let's talk about the explosion that took place in the Norwegian capital. The radical also carefully planned this crime. He planted a bomb in advance in a minibus that was parked near government buildings located on Grabegata Street. Parking vehicles, Breivik was in the form of a law enforcement officer, so as not to arouse any suspicion among the guards. Several people died as a result of this act of intimidation.
Investigation and trial
"Norwegian shooter" did not deny his guilt in committing acts of terrorism. He motivated his actions by simple necessity. So Breivik wanted to intimidate officials who allowed migration from the East.
A forensic psychiatric commission was appointed, which was supposed to determine the degree of sanity of the terrorist. The experts came to the conclusion that the Norwegian radical is not aware of his actions, and therefore cannot serve a real sentence. Many experts were inclined to believe that the accused suffers from paranoid schizophrenia.
However, a few months later, at the initiative of the judiciary, a re-examination of the mental state of the suspect was carried out, as a result of which the conclusion was made: Andreas Breivik is not crazy. Psychiatrist Friedrich M alt, who was involved in the criminal process, stressed that the terrorist has some mental disorders, but it is not about schizophrenia.
In April 2012, a hearing was held on the fact of committing terrorist acts in Norway. The verdict was harsh: Breivik is guilty and must spend 21 years of his subsequent life in a maximum security prison.
Isolation conditions
In fairness, it should be noted that the conditions in the prison of the "Norwegian shooter" are very benign, despite the severity of the crimes committed by him. He lives in a fairly spacious cell (31 sq.m.), which includes a bedroom, a gym, and an office with a TV. Breivik cannot communicate with other criminals, only with prison staff, and then once a week and no more than an hour.
Such conditions of isolation from society seemed inhuman to the terrorist, and he filed a lawsuit in the court, in which he demanded that they stop feeding himsemi-finished products and serve cold coffee. In addition, he was not satisfied with the outdated model of the game console. But the main complaint was that he was not allowed to communicate with friends.
The court partially recognized the claims of the Norwegian radical.
Conclusion
Of course, many would like to know if Anders Breivik will be released ahead of schedule. The opinion of lawyers on this issue is unambiguous: potentially this can only happen if the court considers that the “Norwegian shooter” has ceased to be a threat to society. It is possible that the criminal will stay in the cell until the end of his days.
Most of society continues to believe that Breivik did not know what he was doing when he shot people. However, a completely logical question arises: “Why does a mentally ill person have so many sane supporters?” Unfortunately, history knows many cases when people with mental illness are glorified throughout the world thanks to unprecedented and radical actions. The situation is complicated by the fact that they have followers who also want to challenge society.
