Today, beauty contests have become commonplace for us. We are already accustomed to the fact that during the year there must be a competition, during which the name of the most beautiful girl in our city, and then the country will be named. After that, our beauty will participate in the international competitions "Miss Europe", "Miss Universe" and "Miss World". But in the Soviet period, until 1989, that is, for many decades, these contests were banned in our country.
History of “Miss Russia”
The Russian Beauty competition was held in Paris from 1927 to 1938 among emigrants. At that time, more than two hundred thousand refugees from Tsarist Russia lived in the French capital. Two years after the first competition, all girls of Russian origin living in European countries began to participate in it. The jury included such celebrities as writers Bunin and Kuprin, artists Korovin and Benois. Once Chaliapin's daughter took part in the competitionMaria. After the outbreak of World War II, these competitions were discontinued. After a long break, they resumed in 1989, during the reign of the country's "perestroika" Mikhail Gorbachev. At the same time, qualifying rounds were held in each of the Soviet republics, and the Miss USSR contest became the culmination. It was attended not only by participants from 15 Soviet republics, but also from autonomies. After the collapse of the great Soviet Union, naturally, the competition held in Moscow became known as “Miss Russia”. And now, for the past two dozen in the Russian capital, an authoritative jury, consisting of figures from television, cinema, pop music, etc., has been choosing the most beautiful girl in the country. This article will focus on "Miss Russia 2005". By the way, they write about this competition that it was the first, which, in its organization, corresponded to international standards for holding events of this kind. That's the way it should have been. After all, this year the competition was held under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation and had the status of “national”.
Miss 2005
Alexandra Ivanovskaya, whose photo you see in the article, at the age of 16 won the title of the most beautiful girl in the country. This was in 2005. The final, as always, was held in the Russian capital at the Bolshoi Manege. In total, there were 50 participants in the competition. Each of them represented their region. Before entering the Moscow competition, the girls won regional and city beauty contests. The future “Miss Russia” Alexandra Ivanovskaya represented the Far Eastregion. By the way, representatives of both Russian capitals were not among the superfinalists. At the very beginning of the competition, the contestants paraded in national costumes, which were prepared for them by the famous stylist-designer Alena Akhmadulina. At the same time, she used the motifs of Vasentsov's fairy tales. Then they were transformed into athletic and self-confident tennis players in snow-white pleated mini-skirts and sports tops. Then the girls had to show off their creative skills. However, the jury did not stop there, and the girls were asked questions on a variety of topics. Of course, in the final part, the girls appeared before the jury and all the spectators in evening dresses. At the same time, Alexandra Ivanovskaya (Miss 2005) entered the stage with her infinitely long hair loose, and everyone just gasped.
Organizational moments
The chief director of the show “Miss Russia 2005” was Andrey Boltenko (in those years he was the chief director of the 1st Public Channel). Since the competition was held in the Bolshoi Manezh, the scenery was appropriate - in the style of "Russian Fashion Seasons". The hosts of the show were the legendary Nikolai Fomenko and Fedor Bondarchuk. In their usual joking manner, they admitted that they had concealed from their halves where they would spend this evening. Between the main parts of the competition, the “nightingales” of the Russian stage, Valery Meladze and Nikolai Baskov, performed before the audience, but Maxim Galkin decided to hold a beauty contest in the ranks of modern politicians, as a result of which the palm was givenValeria Novodvorskaya. In a word, two winners were chosen that day - Alexandra Ivanovskaya and Valeria Novodvorskaya. Here's a choice!
Miss Far East became Miss Russia
When the sixteen-year-old beauty Alexandra Ivanovskaya with a plait below the waist appeared on the stage, everyone already understood that the other contenders simply had no chance of winning. Her beauty, all her features were truly Slavic, ours, Russians. Members of the jury have already represented her at the Miss World contest. However, the girl was only 16, so she was not allowed to participate in the world competition. Nevertheless, the girl received 100 thousand US dollars as a reward.
A little about the winner
Alexandra Ivanovskaya was born in the Far East, namely in the city of Komsomolsk-on-Amur. Since childhood, Sasha had long hair. Her mother was very fond of making the girl beautiful hairstyles, pigtails, tying them with bows, decorating with various hairpins, etc. For the first time she participated in the competition "Barbara-beauty - a long braid" at the age of nine. The length of her hair reached 135 cm. At the same time, she began to dance and choreograph. She devoted six whole years to this. She even had to shorten her long hair so that it was more convenient to collect it in a bun. By the time of the Miss Russia 2005 contest, her hair had grown to 115 centimeters. Her height is 180 cm, her chest is 87 cm, her waist is 63 cm, and her hips are 94 cm.
Trouble
After Alexandra Ivanovskaya won the “Russian Beauty” competition, unpleasant rumors began to spread about her. Articles were published in the media and the Internet that claimed that the girl starred in a pornographic video. However, if you look closely at the beginning of this video, with a completely harmless title - “Alexandra Ivanovskaya visited the Lenin Library” or “Lolita in the Library”, then judging by the clothes of the heroine, it immediately becomes clear that the video was filmed in the early 90s of the past century, that is, when Alexandra herself was only 4-5 years old. Everyone is misled by the fact that the girl in the video is very similar to the young “Miss Russia 2005”, but in no way can she be. Nevertheless, this video flew around all the sites, it was viewed (some with indignation, some with interest, and some with contempt) by millions. After all, the girl at the moment was considered the face of the whole country. Then, because of her age, the poor thing was not allowed to participate in the Miss Universe contest, which was also very insulting for her. After all, if she appeared then on an international show, then, of course, she would have managed to win the title of “Queen of the Universe”. We think that her magnificent beauty, as well as unusually beautiful hair, could delight all the authoritative jury.
