For some time Valery Storozhik lived with his parents in a small military town. New films were brought to the Officer's House every evening. He really liked French, Italian, adventure with Marcello Mastroianni and Alain Delon in the lead roles. I binge watched these movies every night. The life revealed in them seemed to the young man a window into a new world. All love for art was directly related to cinema and was born at that time.

Growing up and becoming a professional artist, Valery gave preference not to cinema, but to the theater - the theater of the Moscow City Council, to which he devoted his whole life. It became his home, his family. Valery has played many roles, including the famous ones - Jesus Christ and Pontius Pilate in the legendary production of Pavel Chomsky. Born December 1, 1956 in the Poltava region of the Ukrainian SSR. I ended up in a class with an indifferent teacher who organized amateur performance circles, skits. The young man joined the team, played the first role and received tremendous pleasure from the game. A spark ignited.

Study in Moscow

After his arrival in Moscow, he gave documents to the Gnessin Musical and Pedagogical Institute, and he himself gradually became interested in the world of theater. He submitted documents to GITIS, but could not pass, reaching the 3rd round. I got to the Shchepkinsky school almost by accident - I liked the woman agent who was recruiting applicants. The first years he was actively involved in stage activities, played in the crowd, there were roles in which it was necessary to perform romances, play music. Already in the 3rd and 4th year I played in small episodes.

Valery Storozhik graduated from the Shchepkin Theater School, was accepted into the troupe of the Moscow City Council Theater, the leading actor of which is to this day. Initially, there was a choice between working at the Maly Theater and at the Moscow City Council. There were also worries about the wrong path.

One of the first notable film roles was played in 1982 in Alexander Mitta's musical film "The Tale of Wanderings". He also starred in the films "Shore", "Tales … Tales … Tales of the Old Arbat", "Boris Godunov", "Joker", "Stalin's Testament" and many others. Valery is a master of dubbing and dubbing. The main characters of foreign films speak in his voice: "Gone with the Wind", "The Magnificent Seven", "Scam", "Die Hard". Valery is married for the second time. His first wife was the famous actress Marina Yakovleva. Two sons were born in the marriage: Fedor in 1987 and Ivan in 1989. The couple divorced in 1991. Valery's third son, Mark, is 5 years old. With the first children, he establishes communication, which has not been for a long time.

Valery Storozhik does not like to talk about his personal life, referring to the fact that he does not want to offend loved ones with whom he was once happy.

Throughout his adult life, his family was the theater, to which he gave his all.

Currently continuing to play, one of the recent works is participation in the series "Bunch of Grapes" (2018), which he is proud of. It is recognized that the role brought a lot of positive emotions, reminded me of childhood, carefree life in the Ukrainian village, and indeed a lot of good things. Valery appears before the audience in the role of agronomist Ernest Pavlovich.
