History of Creation
The first information about the building on Kuibyshev Street dates back to 1835. During this period, the building belonged to Fedorov Mikhail Ivanovich. The house was inherited after his death. But in 1877 there was a fire, the estate burned to the ground. Relatives of Fedorov Mikhail Ivanovich decided not to restore the house.
The merchant Ivan Andreevich Klodt rented a house next to the site. In the 80s of the 19th century, he built a house for himself, reminiscent of a fairy-tale castle. In honor of the founder, the "Children's Picture Gallery" has another name - Klodt's estate. After the death of the merchant, residential apartments were located in the house.
