Military biography of Vladimir Gulyaev
A native of Sverdlovsk, Vladimir was born on October 30, 1924. In the mid-30s, his family moved to the city of Izhevsk. Here, the future actor studied at school number 22 named. A. S. Pushkin, studied at the flying club. In 1942, at the age of 19, Volodya Gulyaev was drafted into the army. Then he became a cadet of an aviation school inMolotov (now Perm). After graduating with honors, the youngest of the graduates received the rank of junior lieutenant. He first served in the 639th regiment of the 211th assault aviation division, based near the city of Velizh (not far from Smolensk). Then the regiment was transferred to the 335th assault division that was being formed.
Vladimir made his first sorties, storming railway stations in the direction of Vitebsk-Polotsk. Especially courageous were during the operation "Bagration" his repeated sorties to attack Obol. In a group of six aircraft, despite four anti-aircraft batteries and two on the way, creating a whole sea of \u200b\u200bfire, Gulyaev boldly stormed the enemy, dropping bombs into his echelons. Two days after his attack, fires raged at the station and ammunition exploded. The act of the brave pilot was described in the Soviet Sokol newspaper, a clipping from which Vladimir Leonidovich always carried with him and was very proud of it.
A hero among us
On his Ile-2, Vladimir Gulyaev carried out 60 sorties, for which he was awarded serious awards. On average, according to statistics, the pilot of an IL aircraft manages to make up to 11 sorties before the moment of downing; Gulyaev became an exception, taking to the air for more than a year (1943-1944).
He was shot down in the Rezekne region during the assault on artillery positions; the pilot managed to land the plane that had lost control on the forest, while he himself was badly injured. He was able to return to the regiment only after a three-month stay in the hospital with the conclusion of doctors, which allowed him to count on at leastflights in light aircraft. Vladimir had to fly on these "maize" planes, solving local issues. The patience of his soul, longing for the native cabin of the Ilyukha, was enough for no more than a month; Vladimir began to write reports one after another, achieved a second medical commission, and in March 1945 took to the air in his native Ilya-2. Death passed nearby on March 26, 1945, when an anti-aircraft shell hit the plane during the next assault on enemy positions. Vladimir Gulyaev managed to safely land the aircraft at his native airfield and after that he repeatedly made two or three sorties a day.
This exciting VE Day
The final point in his military career was the next task: to drop an ultimatum to its commandant Otto Lyash over the fortress city of Koenigsberg. Unable to withstand the power and strength of the attackers, the cradle of Prussian militarism surrendered on April 9, holding out for three days. On this day Gulyaev Vladimir was presented to the Order of the Patriotic War, I degree.
On June 24, 1945, Gulyaev, as part of the pilots of the 3rd Air Army, walked along Red Square among hundreds of victorious compatriots. It was participation in the Victory Parade for him, a 20-year-old boy, that became the most important event in his life.
Under the peaceful sky
Peaceful post-war life was unusual for Vladimir, who could not imagine himself without sky, height and speed. But in the military career of a young man, wounded and shell-shocked more than once, a bold point was put: a new life stage began - a film actor.
Vladimir Gulyaev, whose personal life was of interest to more than one woman's heart, graduated from VGIK in 1951, where he studied at the course of Sergei Yutkevich and Mikhail Roma. Since that time, he began acting in films. The actor never played the main roles: the viewer knows him by the heroes of the second plan. But what roles they were! Charismatic, smiling, charming, somewhat reckless and very kind. Even a short appearance of the artist in the frame gave the film a touch of sincerity and sincerity. This is Volodya the policeman in "The Diamond Hand", the strict captain - "Come to me, Mukhtar!", Yura Zhurchenko - "Spring on Zarechnaya Street", Fyodor Subbotin in "Alien Family".
Many of the phrases he uttered in the movies became catchphrases: "What's wrong with your head?", "Greetings to you from Mikhal Ivanych!", "Semyon Semenych!"
In the Air of Ila
Also, actor Vladimir Gulyaev was involved in dubbing films, including "In a certain kingdom", "How a soldier lagged behind the army", "Ladies invite gentlemen" and others.

The story is told by the author on behalf of one of the characters, Junior Lieutenant Ladygin Leonid.
What is he: a front-line actor?
Vladimir Gulyaev was a very simple person in communication: he willingly traveled to meetings with spectators even in remote corners of the country, performed in ordinary clubs and Houses of Culture. Tall, prominent, fit thanks to his military bearing, the cheerful actor always smiled, answered questions from the audience, mixing it with light jokes and funny anecdotes. From meetings, he, a famous artist with tremendous charm and positive energy, left with his closest friend, parting with whom was incredibly difficult.

In life, Vladimir Gulyaev (the photo fully conveys all the charm and charisma of the actor) was an avid motorist; he had a passion for technology from the time of the war. He, in the past, a pilot, liked the speed, the feeling of the steering wheel in his hands and the complete subordination of the machine to a person.
