Biography

Irina was born into a family without athletes. Irina's father is an electrician, and her mother is a gynecologist. In 1973, on February 18, a girl was born in the Lobachev family, who was named Irina. The child was sick quite often, and the doctors advised the parents to send Irina to some sports section, and it is desirable that the classes take place in the fresh air. Irina started training with trainers Natalya Dubinskaya from the age of six. The girl really liked this sport, she quickly mastered the basics of skating, jumping and turning. She skated as a single figure skater. At the age of 12, Ira goes to Prague to participate in international competitions.

The family lived in a village near Moscow, and it was very difficult for Irina to get to training, to combine studies and homework, the coach suggested that the Lobachevs place their daughter in the Dynamo hostel in Moscow.

The beginning of a sports career

Perhaps, Irina Lobacheva would have become a successful figure skater in single skating, since the elements of this sport were easy for her. However, there were problems with the knee joint after the injury. Jumping and tricks could aggravate the onset of the disease. Irina was offered to go to pair dances. But not everything is so smooth in sports, especially since half of the success of a performance depends on a partner. Ira's first partner was the figure skater Oleg Onishchenko, with whom they trained for about a year and a half. Not getting into the competition, Oleg quit figure skating, deciding to go into business. It was the beginning of the 90s. Soon Irina was offered to ride with Alexei Pospelov, but the couple was not destined to last long. Alexei emigrated to Switzerland.

Pair Lobacheva - Averbukh

A happy accident helped the 18-year-old athlete find her niche in figure skating. In 1992, the coaching council decided, as an experiment, to put Irina in a pair with Ilya Averbukh, who had previously trained with Anisina Marina. Due to a broken relationship, the couple broke up. But sometimes the course of events develops in such a way that everyone benefits from seemingly uncomfortable situations. So it happened here. Instead of Irina Lobacheva, Marina went to France to the figure skater Gwendala Peizera and did not lose, judging by their joint performances and awards. And Lobacheva - Averbukh "danced" so that they got into the top three figure skaters in Russia, and began to show good results at international championships.

In 1994, the couple decided to train in Denver (USA). Intensive training brought the first results. In 1995, the couple, anticipating their victories in sports, decided to conclude their family union. The 96/97 season was marked by major achievements in his sports career. In 1998, in the Japanese Nagano at the Winter Olympics, Ilya and Irina took fifth place, and in S alt Lake City in 2002, athletes took silver. Irina's personal life was at the peak of happiness, which was facilitated by her beloved man and sporting achievements.

End of sports career

In 2003, athletes complete skating in amateur sports. What happened, why did such a decision come? Irina and her husband decided to leave amateur sports at the peak of theirachievements: silver in S alt Lake City, gold at the European Championship, awards from the state and the title of master of sports. In the personal life of Irina Lobacheva, a joyful event happened - she became a mother. In March 2004, she made a gift to her husband, giving birth to a wonderful son, Martin.

After leaving amateur sports, as professionals, Irina and Ilya take part in several shows on ice. The guys refused the incoming offers to stay in the West and make their career there, as they had long dreamed of creating their own project "Ice Symphony".

Coaching

After finishing their career in amateur sports, everyone chooses their own direction, but still devotes himself to sports. And if mostly Ilya started working on the project, Irina decided to take up coaching work with a dance couple performing for Belarus, K. Shmyrina and E. Maistrov. In the absence of her own training, Irina had time to graduate from the Moscow State Academy of Physical Education and get a second higher education at the Moscow State University of Humanities. M.
