Vladimir Ilyich was born in 1962 (September 28) in a wonderful city, which is now the capital of Mother Russia - in Moscow. Many do not know that Vladimir Tolstoy is the great-great-grandson of a very famous literary figure all over the world, famous for his amazing works - Leo Tolstoy.

Vladimir graduated from high school with honors, thanks to which he could easily enter Moscow State University, where he studied at the Faculty of Journalism. According to him,then he believed that journalism was his calling, but, as it became known a little later, he was still a little mistaken.

Even in his student days, Tolstoy Vladimir Ilyich got a job in the little-known magazine Student Meridian, where he received his first praise from the employer. It is also worth noting that the man collaborated with a very famous publishing house at that time, which was called "Young Guard".

In 1984, Vladimir Tolstoy graduated from Lomonosov Moscow State University, but did not leave his first job - he continued to work at the Student Meridian publishing house.

Life after school

For the next eight years, the descendant of a famous family, in spite of everything, continued to work in the same publishing house. He even managed to get the position of senior literary editor of the department in which he worked. This activity satisfied him, and he received money, albeit small, for what he liked.

In 1988, Vladimir Tolstoy became a member of the so-called Union of Journalists of the USSR, and after some time - the Union of Writers of Russia.

As a result, Vladimir left the editors of the Student Meridian magazine and took the place of the best expert in the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation.

In 1992, Tolstoy wrote a lot of material related to illegal construction and deforestation at Yasnaya Polyana. This material interested many people, and therefore was published in various magazines and newspapers, the most prominentof which is Komsomolskaya Pravda.

Two years later, at the end of the summer of 1994, V. I. Tolstoy became the director of the state natural and memorial reserve (thanks to his article in Komsomolskaya Pravda, to which Minister of Culture Yevgeny Sidorov drew his attention), which the name "Yasnaya Polyana", where, in fact, he still works to this day, despite his positions in the Russian government.

This is a responsible adviser to the President of Russia, a remarkable and quite experienced journalist and just a person who heads the Yasnaya Polyana Museum-Estate, revived and equipped in honor of his great-great-grandfather, the writer Leo Tolstoy. Throughout his life, presidential adviser Vladimir Tolstoy has done a lot of good for ordinary people. And that is why everyone respects him today!

Vladimir is the chairman of the so-called Public Chamber in the Tula region, as well as a member of the same Public Chamber, only the Russian Federation itself.

In 1997 he was elected chairman of the most important (that is, central) council of the Association of Museum Workers in all regions of the Russian Federation.

In early February 2012, adviser Vladimir Tolstoy became an officially registered confidant of the then presidential candidate, and at the present time - the head of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin. A little later hewas appointed adviser to the President of the country.

Vladimir Tolstoy was married several times: from the first he left two sons, and from the second - two beautiful girls. For his work he was awarded the Order of Friendship. It is also worth noting that relatively recently the name of Vladimir Tolstoy was included in the list of Honored Cultural Workers of Russia.
