Semenova Alena Mikhailovna (nee Rainer) was born in Leningrad on July 30, 1980.
After graduation, she studied at the St. Petersburg State Academy of Theater Arts at the directing department (on the course of Yuri Krasovenko). In 2013 she wrote the script for the melodramatic film “ID Photo”.
In 2015, Alena Semenova filmed the biographical melodrama The Red Queen. In Russia, the premiere of the series took place in March 2016 on Channel One. The film tells about the life of the world-famous Soviet fashion model Regina Zbarskaya. This picture received a prize as the best series at the festival in the USA (2016) and at the International Film Festival named after V. Tikhonov (2017).
Currently, Alena is working on a new serial film "Chorus", where she acts as a director and screenwriter of the picture.
