The actress was born on June 3, 1936. Elvira grew up in a theatrical family. Mom danced in ballet before marriage, but after the wedding, her husband forbade her to go on stage. She became a housewife, but there was always music in the house: romances, songs, opera.
Dad in his youth dreamed of becoming an artist, but it did not work out. Therefore, he wanted one of his three children to become an actor. At the age of eight, he took Elvira to a theater group at the House of Pioneers, where she even had to pass an audition to get there.
In the theater studio they taught not only to play on stage, but also instilled a common culture, taught competent Russian speech and diction. It was there that the girl developed a reverent attitude to the theater.
So after graduation ElviraBrunovskaya entered GITIS, the course of V. A. Orlov, which she graduated in 1957.
Career
After studying, Elvira was sent to the city of Rostov-on-Don for distribution, although she received 3 applications: from the Transport Theatre, the Moscow Art Theater and the Pushkin Theater. But she was simply ordered to go raise the crumbling Comedy Theater.
Six months pregnant while dancing in one of the performances, she fell off the table and decided she had had enough. She took academic leave and left for Moscow, where she gave birth to a daughter.
Then, together with their husband, actor Vadim Beroev, they were taken to the troupe of the Theater. Moscow City Council, in which Elvira Brunovskaya worked until the end of her life. There were always roles for her, in addition, she played a lot in television plays (“The Taming of the Shrew”, “Me, You, He and the Phone”, “The End of the Black Knights”, “A Thousand Souls”, “Initiation into Love” and others).
The actress in the theater often played comedic roles ("Halfway to the Top", "The Doors Slam"), less often - dramatic ones ("The Widow's Steamboat").
Since 1962, she and her husband have been constantly working at the Yunost radio station. Elvira became one of the first radio presenters who not only read the text, but also talked to radio listeners.
But Elvira somehow did not work out with the cinema. In those days, the fashion was for the "Russian type" and "combat girls". But she was willingly filmed by Uzbekfilm, Armenfilm and Azerbaijanfilm, where she played Russian heroines.
Film careerbegan in 1959 with a leading role in the Armenian film Her Fantasy. In 1962, Elvira starred in the Azerbaijani drama The Telephone Operator. In 1963 - in the Uzbek film "The planes did not land".
In 1966, the film "The Squadron Goes West" was released, where the actress played Vera Kholodnaya. In 1969, in the film "Dangerous Tour" with Vladimir Vysotsky, Elvira Brunovskaya played the role of Evelina de Cordel.
In 1970, she played the role of Irina in the film "Two Sisters". In 1976, in the serial historical film "Siberia" - the role of Glafira.

Private life
The first husband of the actress was actor Vadim Beroev, whom she married while still a student at GITIS. In 1958, the couple had a daughter, Elena, who also became an actress in the Theater. Moscow City Council. Elvira and Vadim also have 2 grandchildren: actors Yegor and Dmitry Beroev.
Vadim Beroev passed away early (at the age of 35). Elvira married a second time - to the writer and journalist Leonid Viktorovich Pochivalov, who outlived his wife by 8 years.
Elvira Brunovskaya died in Moscow on April 11, 2000.
