In the late 1950s, the "house" was renamed "palace". During the war, its employees did not leave the besieged Leningrad. Throughout the blockade, the Palace of Culture "Vyborgsky" continued to work for the people of Leningrad.

Since 1978, the Palace of Culture was renamed the Palace of Culture and Technology, and twenty years later, simply the Palace of Culture.

The area of the site owned by the recreation center is 4758 sq. meters. Most of it is occupied by an open cultural space - the Vyborg Garden.

In 2005, the process of reconstructing the palace building was started. It was supposed not only to build it up, but also to adapt the adjacent residential buildings for a hotel and business center, as well as to complete the construction of an additional residential building of 25 floors with built-in premises, consisting of four sections. It was assumed that the area of the site, which will occupy the house, will be 2460 square meters. meters.

Pre-project work was carried out by Piramida LLC, and all activities according to the plan were to be completed by 2011.

The hall of the Palace of Culture "Vyborgsky" can accommodate two thousand spectators. Today, numerous pop and classical music stars present their works in it,The most famous theaters in Russia and Europe show performances, and they also bring in non-repertory productions.
