Family

Alexander Feldman was born on 1960-06-01 in Kharkov, Ukraine. His parents were Soviet people. At this time, Feldman Alexander Borisovich was brought up. His family was simple. Mom worked in a kindergarten for more than 10 years. Then she moved to school as an elementary school teacher. She worked there for 35 years. The father tried to provide the family with everything necessary and always worked in several places.

Education

Feldman Alexander Borisovich graduated from high school. But he entered the Kharkiv National University. Karazin not immediately, but somewhat later. to the Faculty of Economics. After graduating from the university, he received a degree in economics. Wrote a dissertation on philanthropy and psychology.

First independent earnings

Alexander Borisovich learned what work is already at the age of 14. At that time, he was fascinated with aquarium fish. I really wanted to buy new ones. I decided to make money on my own. Parents were against it at first, but Alexander insisted, and they gave up.

Feldman's uncle arranged for him and a friend to work at the post office. The guys worked hard for a month. He remembered for the rest of his life that it was very hard and exhausting work. For those working conditions, according to Alexander, it was necessary to give awards to women working at the post office. Feldman remembered the smell of printing ink for the rest of his life.

He and a friend almost quit their jobs. But still they remained. And they received their first legal salary a month later. He never bought the fish, but gave all the money he earned to his mother. Starting from the 8th grade, he worked as a loader until the 10th grade. He still gave his salary to his mother, spending nothing on himself.

After the army

After the army, Alexander Feldman already on the third day got a job in a taxi. I drove an old Volga. It broke down, often there were no spare parts. Passengers came across different. According to Feldman, in a couple of years of work, he passed an excellent next lesson in life school.

Once he even fell into a swamp, and they searched for him from a helicopter. But Alexander notes that communication with people is really interesting. And he believes that the period of work as a taxi driver is one of the best in his life. Although he plowed without vacation. The head of the taxi company simply did not give it.

At one point, Feldman could not stand it. I bought tickets to Sochi and went to rest with my girlfriend. When I returned back, I received a work book with a record of dismissal at the entrance to the taxi depot.

Further career

After he was fired from the taxi depot, Feldman left and got a job guarding the gardens. His girlfriend (future wife) followed him. At that time, Alexander was only 22 years old. They lived in inhuman conditions - in a booth where there was no water and heating. The time was cold and frosty. Notenough food and money. But together they made it.

But guarding the gardens was only a temporary option. Finally, the work there ended, and Alexander Feldman, whose biography is closely connected with charitable activities in the future, decided to try to become an entrepreneur in order to ensure not only his stable income, but also subsequently help people.

These were the days of the Soviet Union. It was almost impossible to earn big money legally at that time. But Alexander took the risk. The firm "Vesnyanka" was created. Various jobs had to be done - upholstery of doors, glazing of balconies, painting of floors, etc. Then the cooperative movement began, and Feldman's father opened a similar company.

At first Alexander worked for him. Then he created his own company "AutoExpressConstructions" (shortly "AVEK"). A little later, it turned into a joint-stock company. From 2001 to 2004 he was the president of the Metalist football club.

Barashkovo Shopping Center

Alexander Feldman, whose photo is in this article, created the Barashkovo shopping center. This project was supported by the AVEC concern. The shopping center is considered one of the largest in Europe. More than 60 thousand people work there. Its area is almost 70 hectares. Nearly 2,500 shoppers visit the mall every day.

Feldman's Hobbies

Alexander's two childhood dreams remained unfulfilled. He wanted to become a veterinarian or an investigator. But for the most part, he always got what he wanted. ATAs a child I collected shells and knives. As an adult, he always aspired to make good money. This makes it possible to help people, spend money on charitable activities.

Alexander loves animals and traveling since childhood. Now he collects Japanese figurines made of ivory. As well as edged weapons, wine and all the same shells that he began to collect since childhood.

Feldman's personal life

Alexander Feldman met his future wife at a friend's place. Their relationship was stormy. They broke up and reconciled again. We got married 1.5 years after we first met. Alexander's wife was always there.

And still supports, helps and accepts Alexander as he is. With all its advantages and disadvantages. They had a son, who is now an adult. He is married, and Feldman has already become a grandfather. The grandson was named David.

Political career

From 1998 to 2002, Feldman was a deputy of the Kharkov City Council. Then - the Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada. Since 1999 he has been the President of the Jewish Foundation and Community.

He headed the subcommittee on international relations and human rights in the Verkhovna Rada. Alexander Feldman was engaged in foreign policy activities that are closely connected with Israel.

In 2006, he founded the International Center for Tolerance, whose goal is to fight extremism and protect human rights. In 2007 - Member of the Council of Leaders of the Simon Wiesenthal Center and the Royal Institute for Internationalrelationship.

Since 2011, he has been a member of the Party of Regions. Feldman represents the interests of Ukraine in the coalition against anti-Semitism. It was founded in 2009 by the Prime Minister of England. Alexander is one of the founders of the Coexistence Organization, which was established in 2005. Now it includes representatives from 54 countries of the world.

Charity activities

In 1997, Alexander founded a charitable foundation from "AVEK" in Kharkov and headed it. In 2007, the organization was transformed and named after Feldman. This is one of the largest charitable foundations in Ukraine. In 2007, he entered the top 5 largest in the country. According to the results of 2008 and 2009 ranked 3rd among the largest philanthropists in the country in the rating according to the newspaper Delo. In 2010, he became the leader in the "Help for the Unprotected" nomination. The priorities of the charitable foundation are directed towards single mothers, protection of childhood and motherhood, assistance to disabled children, orphans and families with many children, support for socially vulnerable segments of the population, assistance in the development of culture, sports and education.

Helping Israeli children

Feldman launched charitable activities not only in Ukraine, but also in Israel. It passes modestly, not advertised. In 2006, after the 2nd Lebanese War, he helped 70 children undergo the necessary rehabilitation by bringing them to a recreational center in the Khmelnytsky region. This became possible thanks to the charitable foundation that Alexander created. Help for children has been agreedin advance with the Vice Mayor of Nahariya and the Israeli Ambassador.

A year later, Feldman financed the vacation of 30 more children. This time from Sderot. As a result of the shelling, they lost their relatives and friends. Qualified psychologists worked with them. Alexander also funds the Malchut David Kindergarten, located near Jerusalem.
