The city gained fame in Soviet times thanks to the famous hockey team "Khimik". From the name of which it became clear that the chemical industry is well developed in it. Employment of the population of Voskresensk largely depends on the work of the city-forming enterprise JSC Voskresensk Mineral Fertilizers.
General information
Voskresensk is located on the Moskva River, 80 km to the north-west is the capital of the country. It is the administrative center of the district of the same name. The city is divided into seven separate residential areas, along the boundaries of which there are industrial and warehouse zones, tributaries of the river and transport pipelines.
The total area occupied by the city is 38.78 square meters. km. The population of Voskresensk is 93,600 people. There are five railway stations in the city area.
Since the Soviet industrialization, it has been characterized by an unfavorable environmental situation. The largest contribution to pollution is made by the plant of mineralfertilizer and cement (now closed).
Pre-revolutionary years
The first settlements located in this area are mentioned in the spiritual charter of the famous Prince Ivan Kalita, dated around 1339, written before a trip to the Golden Horde. However, archaeological research shows that the population in Voskresensk (territory) appeared much earlier. Voskresenskoye village has been mentioned in cadastral records since 1577. The settlement was named after the Church of the Resurrection of Christ located in it.
In 1862, the Moscow-Ryazan railway passed here, the built station and the station settlement got their names from the village. In 1934, a working settlement was formed, called Voskresensk. It included a railway station located near the villages of Neverovo and Krivyakino, as well as the territory occupied by a brick factory and a chemical plant under construction.
Recent history
In 1922, the development of the Yegoryevsk phosphorite deposit began for the processing of raw materials, from which a chemical plant was subsequently built. By 1934, the first four-story residential buildings and administrative buildings were built. In July 1938, the settlement, along with several villages, were merged into the city of Voskresensk. The population grew rapidly, due to the arrival of specialists and labor from all over the country. In 1939, 17,231 people lived here.
During the war, the railway station was repeatedly bombed, but the German air raids did not affect the chemical plant, because they wanted to capture it whole. In 1954, the large settlement of Kolyberovo was annexed to the city. The population of Voskresensk by 1959 increased to 44,759 people. All subsequent Soviet years, the number of inhabitants continued to grow rapidly, in 1992 there were already 81,700 people in the city.
Modernity
In the first decade of the post-Soviet era, the crisis hit the city's economy hard. Accordingly, the population of Voskresensk was constantly decreasing. In 2004, 77,871 people lived in the city. In the same year, the working settlement of Lopatinsky was attached to Voskresensk. In connection with this and the improvement of the economic situation in the country, the population grew to 91,200 people by 2005, exceeding the Soviet level for the first time in this indicator. At the same time, the urban settlement of Voskresensk was formed, which included the city and surrounding villages.
From 2008 to 2016, the population of Voskresensk continued to grow, mainly due to natural increase. In 2016, Voskresensk Mineral Fertilizers, a city-forming enterprise, became part of Uralchem JSC. The plant is now the fourth in terms of production of phosphate fertilizers. In 2017 and 2018, the number of residents slightly decreased. In 2018, 93,565 people lived in Voskresensk.

But the science of philosophy itself practically interprets nothing literally. These are just reflections and different ways of searching for the truth. Parmenides did a lot of work on this path.
