Biography
Stephen Dougray was born in 1965 in Scotland in the city of Glenrothes, which stands in the heart of the County of Faif. He studied at Auchmuty High School and then entered the Welsh College of Music and Drama, where he proved to be a promising student. Even then, he was known under the stage name "Dougrey", associated with the name of his grandmother.
There were two marriages in the life of the actor. His first wife was Casting Directors Guild member Sarah Travis. But somehow they did not work out, and in 2007 Dougray Scott and Claire Forlani got married in Italy. He has children: twins Gabriel and Eden from his first marriage and son Milo Thomas from his new wife.

The actor began to climb the career ladder by participating in productions of the National Theater of Scotland and puppet shows. And he owes his first roles on television to such series as "Zorro"(1990–2011), Taggart (1983–2010) and Lovejoy (1986–2004). And, finally, he got one of the main roles in David Kane's comedy-drama This Year's Love (1999).
One of the best roles awaited the actor even before he took part in the filming of Steve Barron's two-part adventure film "Arab Adventures" (2000). Then Dougray was offered to star with Tom Cruise in John Woo's spy thriller Mission: Impossible 2 (2000). He played the film's main antagonist, bioweapon owner Sean Ambrose. In 2001, Dougray Scott played the brilliant mathematician Thomas Jericho in Michael Apted's thriller Enigma. He played one of the main roles in the action movie Hitman (2007) by Xavier Jahns. A year later, he appeared in Paolo Barzman's television thriller Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde (2008). And until 2010, he received the main roles in four more projects: "Day of the Triffids" (mini-series, 2009), "New City Killers" (2008), "Diplomat" (2009) and "Father and Son" (mini-series, 2009).
