While browsing the news about affairs in Ukraine, people often stumble upon the names of its past presidents. One of them - Kuchma Leonid Danilovich - and now actively influences the events. This person is scolded as often as praised. It can be assessed in any way, but it is impossible not to recognize the most important role of Mr. Kuchma in the development of Ukrainian statehood. His life path was not easy, unfortunately, it remains the same today.

Kuchma's biography

In the remote village of Chaikino, which is located in the Chernihiv region, in August (9), 1938, a boy was born who was destined for a great fate. He was raised by his mother. Leni's father, like many of his fellow villagers, went to fight. He was never heard from again at home. Only many years later, Leonid Danilovich Kuchma, already a respectable party leader, found out that dad had died in a hospital back in 1944. Life was poor and difficult. But Leonid did not lose heart. Everyone lived from bread to water. And they are still lucky. Since there was no man in the family, the chairman of the collective farm, a lonely woman, invited them to her house. A few years later, she left, and the “mansions” remained with the Kuchmas. They still managed to take the cornerteachers. There was only a seven-year-old in the village. But Lenya dreamed of education. He was attracted by teaching activities. I had to run to a neighboring village in ten years, after which he entered the Physics and Technology Department of Dnepropetrovsk University. Studying was difficult for Lena. But it turned out that he has excellent organizational skills. Yes, people followed him. They acknowledged that their leader was the debtor student Kuchma. Leonid Danilovich took up active Komsomol activities.

Career

After the training of the graduate, Kuchma was assigned to the design bureau. He was supposed to design rockets. By the way, Leonid Danilovich is proud of this to this day. The design bureau was called "Southern". His projects were brought to life at a huge, now dying enterprise. It was one of the main in the USSR. We are talking about Yuzhmash. Kuchma Leonid Danilovich worked here continuously for thirty-two years. Doros, as they say, to the CEO. Comrades characterize him as a highly communicative personality. Her father after some time received a serious post in Moscow. He actually supervised the entire Yuzhny complex (design bureaus and factories). Leonid received a serious promotion. In 1981, he left for party work. The position was also promising. Leonid Danilovich is elected secretary of the party committee. It was already a level. Then he again returns to design work as the first deputy head of Yuzhmash.

Political career

USSR was falling apart. In 1990, people holding such serious positions were well aware of this. We should have thought about the future. Leonid Danilovich decided to go to the deputies. And so it happened. He, the leader of Yuzhmash, was supported by the people. In this position, he survived the collapse of the Union, the declaration of independence. And in 1992, the then President Leonid Kravchuk invited him to head the executive branch. It was a great opportunity for further growth. Leonid Danilovich agreed. And after only two years, he successfully ran for the main post in the country. Kuchma was the President of Ukraine until 2004. This is a special time. Surely the citizens remember him as the most prosperous. As they say, after Kuchma, previously ripening contradictions broke out into society. In fact, Ukraine turned out to be split, which was shown by the 2004 elections, which, contrary to the Constitution, were held in three rounds. The Basic Law defines only two.

Complex political struggle

Big politics, albeit on the scale of one state, is very difficult to deal with. Especially when it happens in a country torn apart by contradictions. Leonid Danilovich had to go through a lot. He was criticized by everyone and sundry. It was said that Kuchma's children were plundering the country, that he himself had amassed untold we alth. All his actions and deeds invariably overgrown with incredible gossip. In fact, Leonid Danilovich has a daughter, Elena. Now she is married to a successful businessman Viktor Pinchuk. Pinchuk assures that he is interested in taking an active part in the construction of the state. But he prefers to do it through public organizations.

Current activities of the former president

As any head of state will admit, you can't leave office completely. After all, the country is like a child. You give your soul to her. And it's scary to see what is happening with Ukraine now. Leonid Danilovich from the very first moment of the crisis of 2013-2014 got involved in the work. He negotiated, organized meetings, developed his own recipes for peaceful solutions. Kuchma takes part in the Minsk format. That's where his experience comes in handy. After all, Minsk is trying to find a way to end the war. And the matter is complex. We have to take into account the mutually exclusive views of the two parts of the Ukrainian people. TalentsLeonid Danilovich, who is able to negotiate with anyone, came in handy. There are no former politicians at all. There remain connections, invaluable experience, methods and templates for solutions are being developed. All this must be passed on to the followers. And Leonid Danilovich does not worry about gossip. He says himself that the peaceful life of people is most valuable to him. And in order to lead the country out of the terrible conflict, he is ready for a lot. And to endure gossip is nonsense, compared to what else has to be done. Leonid Danilovich is the last president of Ukraine, recognized by both parts of society. Therefore, his authority in resolving the conflict is indispensable.
