In 2012, the Immortal Regiment campaign began in Tomsk, founded by journalist Sergey Kolotovkin. The meaning of this movement was to parade with portraits of their relatives who participated in the Great Patriotic War as if they were among the living now. A year later, 120 cities of Russia participated in it. In 2015, the Immortal Regiment project became widespread in our country. Rallies and parades are held in each settlement using banners with photographs and names of participants in the Great Patriotic War.
"The Immortal Regiment". Altai Territory
Don't forget about our veterans and those who died during the Great Patriotic War and in Altai. The action "Immortal Regiment" was supported by the Altai Territory with the greatest enthusiasm. There were a lot of citizens who responded to the call to tell about their relatives, participants in the Great Patriotic War. Moscow, St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Tomsk and Barnaul are the cities where the largest number of stories about front-line soldiers are written.
Such a number of people who are ready to support the action "Immortal Regiment" (Altai Territory),due to the fact that during the war years more people were called to the front from the region than from any other subjects of the Soviet Union.
How to enroll your front-line relatives in the Immortal Regiment?
In order for each participant in the war to be enrolled in the "Immortal Regiment", you need to go to the all-Russian website moypolk.ru. After authorization, you need to find the section “Regiment deployment” and select “Altai Territory”. After selecting a district or city, click the "Record grandfather in the regiment" button. In the opened form, you should enter data about the soldier (years of life, front-line path, awards, memories). An arbitrary format of the form allows you to tell in your own words about a participant in the war, write stories from the military biography of front-line soldiers, memoirs of veterans.
This project is planned to continue until all those who fought for the victory over fascism in 1941-1945 are recorded on the website and in books dedicated to the "Immortal Regiment" both in Altai and in all other regions of Russia.
Where can I get a banner?
Whoever wants to take part in the action must have a banner with the data of his soldier. It can be ordered in a special workshop, or you can make it yourself. The template is the same for everyone. The outer part measuring 290 by 435 mm contains information about the participant in the war (last name, first name, patronymic, rank). It can be made from any suitable material (plastic, plywood). A photograph 245 by 335 mm is glued onto it, which can be printed on a printer. If there is no photo, you can use the logo"Immortal Regiment". The whole structure is attached to a 400 mm long handle.
You can take part in the parade in Barnaul if you arrive on May 9 at 11 o’clock at 71 Lenin Ave (a site near the Rossiya shopping center) or 61/13 Lenin Ave (a site near the Zernobank).

About the song "Immortal Regiment"
The Immortal Regiment movement was even supported by the Altai Territory with a hymn written by the poet and composer Anna Dobrosmyslova. This idea came to her in January 2014, when Anna learned about her relatives who died in the war.
Currently, a studio recording of the anthem has been prepared, which will be played during parades and rallies about all settlements in Altai. The song is performed by Anna Dobrosmyslova herself, arranged by Vladimir Polyantsev.
