Outstanding dramatic actress Maya Bulgakova starred in many Soviet films throughout her career. Her heroines were mostly Russian women with a difficult and difficult fate. She, on the contrary, considered herself happy in her personal life and an incredibly special person who could drive any man crazy. The cherished dream of her whole life was to act in leading roles in films. She stubbornly walked towards her goal, changing her family for a career.

Childhood and youth

In 1932, in one of the villages of the Kyiv region, a wonderful girl named Maya was born. Parents named their daughter so because the month of birth of the baby was May. In addition to her, there were three other children in the family. The father of the future actress was a military man, so at the very beginning of World War II he was taken to the front, followed by his older brother. They died almost simultaneously in August 1941. It was then that Maya's carefree childhood ended.

Fleeing from the German army, the rest of the Bulgakov family moved to Kramatorsk, where the girl graduated from a regular secondary school. After that, Maya Bulgakova decided to try her luck and went to enter the Moscow Institute of Cinematography, which she later successfully graduated with honors.

Long road to fame

After completing her studies at the university, the girl became an actress in the theater-studio of a film actor. Almost all graduates of her course managed to immediately become famous, but Maya Bulgakova went to this for 10 years. Her feature film debut took place in the drama "Freemen", where she played a cameo role. After that, many Soviet directors began to talk about her as a gifted actress, but they were in no hurry to invite her to shoot films.

During this period of her career Maya Bulgakova began to perform on the stage together with the orchestra of Leonid Utyosov. She had an excellent voice and, according to many critics of the time, she could be called the Russian Edith Piaf. The actress even received an award at the youth festival for her excellent performance of the song.

Family and love

The actress was a happy woman, as she was loved by various interesting and worthy men. While still a second-year student, she fell in love with Tolik Nitochkin, who after some time became a famous cameraman, and married him. Soon the beautiful daughter Zina was born, but Maya Bulgakova could not imagine herself as a mother. Her personal life was in the background, and the first was a career. Therefore, when the child was barely four months old, the actress sent him to her mother in Kramatorsk, and the marriage broke up after that.

After some time, Maya met Alyosha Gabrilovich, who was one of the most enviable suitors of the capital. In addition, he was also a promising director and changed his mistresses like gloves. But Bulgakova was able to subdue him so much that after two months of their acquaintance, the young man took the actress to the registry office. Their marriage was accompanied by constant quarrels and showdowns, which subsequently led to a divorce. Just at that time, Maya Bulgakova found out about her second pregnancy. Children Masha and Zina were constantly brought up by different fathers.

The actress married for the third timethe son of the director of Mosfilm, Alexander Surin, who helped her build an acting career. But soon she again returned to her second husband, with whom they lived only a year and finally parted.

Tragic death

In the autumn of 1994 there was a terrible car accident. The car, in which Maya Bulgakova and her colleague Lyubov Sokolova were, crashed into a lamppost at high speed. The driver of the car died on the spot, but the actresses were alive, so they were immediately taken to the intensive care unit. Five days later, Maya Grigoryevna's friend was discharged from the hospital. But, unfortunately, Bulgakov could not be saved, and she died on October 7. She survived her last husband by only three months and was buried next to him.
