Vincent Kartheiser is an American film and television actor, known for his roles in films and TV series such as Alaska (1996), Sins of the Father (2001), Angel (2002 - 2004) and others. And although his education has nothing to do with acting, he still chose this profession. And this is what came out of it.

Biography and personal life

Vincent Kartheiser (photo below) was born in 1979 in the northern United States, in Minnesota's largest city, Minneapolis. And he got his name in honor of the famous Dutch artist, Vincent van Gogh. His mother, Janet Marie, was a kindergarten manager, and his father, James Ralph Kartheiser, was a construction equipment salesman. Vincent became the sixth child in the family. He graduated from Apple Walley High School. And its family roots stretch from several countries at once: Germany, Poland, Sweden and Finland.

Vincent Kartheiser's personal life developed calmly, without scandals and divorce proceedings. In 1998, he dated American model and actress Rachel Leigh Cook for four months. Butin 2012 he met his true love - Alexis Bledel, another star of the Mad Men series. They got married two years later and had a son.

Eddie Chandler, Sean Barnes, Bobby

His film debut took place in 1993 when he played an orphan boy in Tony Bill's melodrama Wild Heart. A year later, he appeared as Eddie Chandler in Craig Clyde's fantasy drama Heaven's Messenger (1994). Then he was noted in the sports drama Andrew Scheinman "Little Big League" (1994). He played Nikolai in one episode of the drama series "Sweet Justice" (1994 - 1995). And he played the role of Gillion in Frank Oz's family drama The Indian in the Closet. And that was enough for him, because he was just starting.

In 1996, Vincent Kartheiser received one of the main roles in Fraser Clark Heston's adventure film Alaska. He played fifteen-year-old Sean Barnes, who, along with his younger sister, went to the crash site of a plane piloted by their father. The next project brought him another leading role in Roger Christian's action comedy The Conspirators (1997).

In 1998, the actor was lucky to play a drug addict and petty thief named Bobby in Larry Clark's drama Another Day in Paradise. And in the same year, along with Kirsten Dunst, Gaby Hoffmann and Rachel Leigh Cook, he appeared in Sarah Kernokan's comedy Plot of Pranksters.

Thomas Caffrey, Mason Mulich, Pete Campbell

In 2000, the actor starred in Rob Schmidt's thriller American Crime and Punishment. Then again, along with Kirsten Dunst, appears incrime thriller by Paul Nicholas "City of Fortune" (2000). Lands a leading role in Peter Filardi's satanic horror film Ricky 6 (2000). And he accepts an invitation to shoot the detective thriller Tom McLaughlin's Sins of the Father (2001), in which he tries on the image of Thomas Caffrey, a seventeen-year-old guy who recently experienced a family tragedy.

Since 2002, Vincent Kartheiser has starred in David Greenw alt and Joss Whedon's supernatural drama Angel. In the Buffy spin-off, he played Connor, a miracle child born to two vampires. Then director Mark Milgard remembers the actor and invites him to play the role of Mason Mulich, the main character in the American melodrama Dandelion (2004). And two years later, Vincent appears with a small role in the biographical drama Alpha Dog by Nick Cassavetes (2006).

The next year turned out to be one of the most significant for him. Filming has started on Matthew Weiner's hit series Mad Men (2007-2015). In the highly rated project, the actor played Pete Campbell, a young and ambitious advertising agency employee in all 92 episodes.

W alter Clemens, Marsh Mariweather, Laurence Corby

Despite his attachment to the project about advertisers, Vincent Kartheiser did not deny himself the pleasure of visiting other film sets. For example, in 2011, he played a minor character in Andrew Niccol's fantasy thriller Time. He voiced W alter Clemens, a suspected arsonist for a fitter, in the detective video game L. A. noire. As well asa rodent named Ezekiel from Rango (2011).

From 2013 to 2015, the actor voiced Marsh Mariweather in the Dino Stamatopoulos animated series High School USA, designed for an adult audience. Played in Sean Gartofilis's drama "Beach Pillows" (2014) and Scott Cohen's drama "Red Knot" (2004). He also received a cameo role in the comedy series Inside Amy Schumer (2013 - …).

In 2015, the actor appeared in two episodes of Paul A. Edwards' historical mini-series Saints and Strangers. Corby portrayed detective Lawrence in Andy Goddard's thriller The Trap. And in 2017, he played a small role in Tommy O'Haver's biographical drama America's Most Hated Woman, which tells the story of the life and death of Madalyn Murray O'Hare, founder of the American Atheist Society.

What else to expect?

For those who want to see the new films with Vincent Kartheiser, the wait is not long. First, he can be seen as Raymond Geist in two episodes of the docudrama Genius (2017 - …), based on the life of the famous theoretical physicist Albert Einstein.

Secondly, the biographical thriller My Friend Dahmer (2017), about the life of American serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer, is due to be released this fall. Maybe a project called Most Likely to Murder will see the light of day, but, unfortunately, there is little information about it yet.
