In his youth, Benita was diagnosed with severe scoliosis, Scheuermann's disease, arthrosis, and a fracture of the sacrum. By the age of 27, a hip replacement already seemed inevitable to her. She could not play sports and, in addition, lived on painkillers. Since the therapy did not help, Cantieni began to study anatomy on her own in order to understand the cause of her illnesses, as well as to practice various methods of treatment. In 1991, Benita read a book about the then popular callanetics. At the beginning of the training, she seemed to be useful. She even went to study this system of exercises. Soon Benita Cantieni realized that something was missing from these workouts,the method itself does not have an anatomical basis, a basic structure, and is not suitable for all people. And she continued her search.

In 1993, Benita Cantieni met Christian Larsen, co-founder of Spiraldynamik International, an anatomical system for analyzing and improving posture and movement. Larsen introduced her to the pelvic floor system, the main muscles for bone alignment.

Since then, Cantieni has been studying how to correctly position the bones of the human body so that the deepest muscle layers can hold them in the correct position and structure.
